The reps job does not end when you find work he/she is there for all your needs during your entire stay.

Why do i have to pay a damage deposit in resort?

The reason for this is due to the fact that should there be any damage in the apartment caused by you when the flat is inspected upon your departure we as a company need to pay the bill for this and would need to do so immediately in order to get the damage fixed. The damage deposit is entirely refundable and nothing comes out of the deposit if it was somebody else who caused any damage in the apartment, if there is any at all.

SUNPRO Working Holidays are renting the apartments to you from a third party and we do not own the apartments. We therefore have to pay your rent even if you leave, by giving us 2 weeks notice it allows us sufficient time to find somebody who will replace you. The accommodation owners also ask us to keep their apartments full with recruits as much as we can.

There isn't a yes or no answer to this question. You are indeed allowed to party, after all you are working a season abroad in a party resort. However, there are people who work in the day that will need to wake up earlier than you. You must be respectful of your flatmates, your neighbours and fellow workers. Keep in mind that people need to sleep no matter where in the world they are.

Why am i not guaranteed a job?

Because no employer will offer somebody a job without meeting them in person or knowing a little bit about them at least. We will guarantee you a job trial however it is down to you to then keep that job. An example for this we use is; we can guarantee you a bar job however if you have no idea how to pull a pint you might not last in it very long.

Should I take cash or card?

It is up to you. Our rooms have safety deposit boxes which you can use to store cash safely however if you are to use card we recommend looking into getting a prepaid currency card as you will never be charged for using these at cashpoints abroad.

How does a job trial work?

So, whatever the role is a bar/club will ask you to turn up and do a trial shift. You need to show up looking presentable. This means as if you were going on a night out not shirt and tie. When you get there your bar/club will give you basic training in the role and guide you through everything you need to know. Don't worry, you won't just be thrown in and expected to know everything immediately. After you have had this training for the rest of the shift you are expected to work and will be watched by a manager. If you do well, you will be offered the job and will start the next day.

How much money will I need to bring?

This is a very hard question to answer but there is a general figure. The average we would say to bring out is €500. This should be enough to last you until you get a job along with a few nights out. If you can budget very well you may need much less and if you know you spend lots when going out bring more. It is down to the individual person. However,no matter how much money you bring try not to blow it all before you have a job.

Why do I need to apply to work abroad? Whose to stop me doing it all myself?

Absolutely nobody at all! You can do it yourself, however you will be at a huge disadvantage landing in a foreign resort with no accommodation sorted, no job trials sorted and nobody there to help you out. We see many people do this and go home after 3 / 4 days having spent all their money on hotels and trying to find somewhere to live.

Does it cost more to come out in peak season?

No! It is exactly the same price! It does not cost us any more to accommodate you in July than it does in April. Any company who charges a higher price in July/August is only doing it to get more money from you and using ‘peak season' as an excuse. Try to avoid tricks like this.

When does everything need to be paid by?

Your entire package must be paid no later than 6 weeks before your arrival date. If you want to book and arrive before 6 weeks (so if you booked 1st April and wanted to arrive 20th April) you need to contact a rep to see if there is space at such short notice and will more than likely have to pay it all off in full.
